Something About Heroes

The fall T.V. season really starts to get cranked up this week. The only thing that started last night for us was Heroes. I really have this love/hate thing with the show. DeAnne quit watching it after season 2 got so ridiculous she couldn't take it anymore. I've stayed with it in the vain hope that it would get better, and I do think season 3 was better than 2, but they have yet to recapture the magic of season 1. I don't know if it's their inability to stop letting Hiro change the past, thus creating huge plot holes that entire planets could pass through or the fact that they continue to introduce new characters by the dozens while leaving us hanging about what happened to others that they've not talked about in 15 episodes. If you don't read the comic that they publish on the NBC Heroes website, you're still wondering what happened to Micah's who hasn't been talked about on the show since the last episode of season 2.

At any rate, hopefully season 4, which is being called "Redemption", will prove to be the season that brings Heroes back to the level of awesomeness it had in its first season.

DeAnne may not watch Heroes, but one of her favorite shows also starts this week. Grey's Anatomy starts Thursday. Flash Forward also starts on Thursday. I've set it to record. It looks like it could be pretty interesting and I know ABC is hoping that it can be good enough to replace Lost after that show ends next spring, so we're going to try it out and see how it is.

Finally on Friday, Dollhouse starts its second season. Season 1 started out a little rough, but about mid-way the show got its feet under it and by the end of the season was putting out some pretty awesome episodes. I'm looking forward to season 2.

Have a good Tuesday.
