Continuing On

A couple of other things I wanted to mention from the weekend.

Friday night was the church sponsored fall festival at Pleasant Home. It went really well. There was a good crowd. It started about 4:30 and we went to almost 6:00. Our Sunday school class was in charge of the ring toss. We had can drinks sitting out and if you rung one, you got it. They weren't cold, but the kids were tearing into them. It was a lot warmer than I thought it would be and the kids were all pretty hot from running around. After the football game, they had a band play and give testimony and present the Gospel. DeAnne and I didn't stay, but from what I understand, there were a good many teenagers saved that night.

Saturday we watched a couple of movies. The first was "Run Fatboy, Run". It was pretty good. It's about a guy that leaves his pregnant fiance at the alter and then tries to win her back five years later by running a marathon. It was pretty humorous and fairly touching at the same time.

The other movie we watched was "You Don't Mess With the Zohan". At times it was almost crossed the line of so stupid you couldn't stand it, but it always seemed to back off just as it got to that point. Overall it was pretty funny, but definitely just a renter.

DeAnne's party went pretty well last night. She had a good turn out and got a pretty large order. For all the trouble she earned a good bit of "free" jewelry. All she has to do now is pick out what she wants.

That's all I've got for today. I've got to get my blood drawn this morning and I'm already starving. Here's hoping 7:30 gets here fast. Have a good Tuesday.
